I took inspiration from the original War of the Worlds and wrote a modernized script. After that was complete, I found a small cast of voice actors and actresses to play the roles and recorded everyone. Some recording sessions were done remote while some were handled in spare rooms and home studios. After all the dialogue was recorded, I handled the editing, mixing, and sound design for the project, working to emulate the original intent of the piece, a recreation of reality.
